Alumni Association

Mission Statement

The Kolmac Alumni Association (the association) has been formed to provide for the continued support of persons who have at anytime been part of the Kolmac Clinic. Membership is granted regardless of discharge status, length of recovery, substance used or recovery support being used. It is not the intent of the association to judge, measure, replace or interfere with anyone's approach to recovery. Our goals are to broaden our support network through social interaction and to increase our knowledge through workshops, retreats and our regular meetings. In the spirit of “giving it back” we will be speakers, wherever our experience will be a demonstration of recovery is possible. We will act as mentors to those beginning on the road of recovery. We will also work with the Kolmac Foundation in their efforts to make treatment available to those in need of financial help. We will always be mindful of and respect each other's anonymity in all of our communications and contact outside of our meetings.

Announcements

The User Friendly AA Group has moved from Holy Cross Hospital, and now meets at the Kolmac Clinic.

A new AA group, "User Friendly Group," supported by Kolmac Alumni, now meets at the Kolmac Clinic every Saturday at noon in room 109.  It is a "Big Book Study" for beginners.  Come and connect with others in the recovery community.

The Alumni Association is now on Facebook.  This will enable greater interaction among the Association's members.  To protect the privacy of its members, the Alumni Association Facebook group is only available by invitation.  The group will not appear in search results, or in the Facebook profiles of its members.  For an invitation to the Alumni Association's Facebook group, email AJ Mitchell or Lynne Peterson.
