The Kolmac School
In addition to serving patients, the Kolmac Clinic now serves healthcare and treatment professionals through an educational initiative called the Kolmac School. The Kolmac School is a new program that provides education about substance use disorders to treatment professionals. Programs are presented monthly at the various Kolmac Clinic locations by experts in the addictions field.
We view the Kolmac School as an opportunity to expand the knowledge base of the treatment community. In many instances, patients are treated for behavioral health conditions without any consideration for a co-occurring substance use disorder. Our hope is that our efforts will improve care and reduce the potential for such disorders to be overlooked.
