About Susan O'Day
- In 2005, Susan O’Day joined Sierra Tucson as the Equine Therapist and later agreed to join the Program for Sexual and Trauma Recovery. Since 1989 she developed her focus on the treatment of trauma in the context of addiction recovery. Before joining the Sierra Tucson team, her positions at two other facilities included recreation therapist, primary counselor, trauma workshop facilitator, and equine therapist. Susan holds a B.F.A. from Montana State University Bozeman, and a M.S. in psychology with an addiction specialization from Capella University. She is an Internationally Certified Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Counselor, an EAGALA-trained equine therapist, and is trained in the treatment of sexual addiction through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Susan is actively involved in postgraduate education in the areas of counseling and sexual addiction.
