Our Outpatient Program (OP) is a less intensive/immersive level treatment than our IOP and PHP programs. Patients eligible for outpatient treatment include Kolmac patients stepping down from IOP or PHP treatment, patients with a diagnosis of mild to moderate alcohol/substance use disorder (AUD/SUD) or a diagnosis of severe AUD/SUD with no documented use in the past 90 days.
Outpatient treatment supports your ongoing journey towards recovery.
Continuing Care: In-Person, Virtual, or Hybrid Your Recovery, Your Choice
Completing PHP or IOP treatment at Kolmac is a significant milestone, but your recovery journey doesn’t end there. We offer additional outpatient programming designed to provide continued support while giving you the flexibility to tailor your treatment to your lifestyle.
At the outpatient level of care, you have greater freedom to choose how, when, and where you receive treatment. You can determine the frequency of your sessions—whether it’s once or twice a week or another schedule that fits your needs.
Your Outpatient Care, Your Choice:
✅ Frequency of Treatment: Choose how often you engage in outpatient care, starting with one or two sessions per week.
✅ How You Receive Treatment: Select in-person sessions at a Kolmac location, virtual care from home, or a hybrid of both.
✅ Where You Receive Treatment: Attend sessions from home, at a Kolmac facility, or anywhere with a private connection.
✅ When You Receive Treatment: Schedule appointments in the morning, afternoon, or evening to fit your routine.
At Kolmac, we are committed to supporting your long-term recovery, health, and wellness—on your terms.
The Kolmac Difference: 50 Years. 50,000 Patients. We Can Help.
Continuing Care: OP Basics/Overview
Our clinicians maintain flexible hours to offer support and care when you need it. This helps you focus on what’s important: life, work, family, recovery, relapse prevention, and creating a healthy new lifestyle without alcohol or drugs. While you focus on healing, we make scheduling easy, adaptable, and responsive to your individual needs.
After you stabilize in recovery in a Kolmac IOP or PHP program, we encourage you to continue your care at a less immersive level by stepping down to our outpatient program. Kolmac OP treatment includes:
Individual Therapy
Available once or twice a week, based on clinical need and scheduled around your availability
Group Therapy & Education
Fully virtual sessions covering emotional wellness, anger management, mindfulness, and healthy living. Specialized groups for men, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Family Support
Three virtual family group sessions per week to strengthen relationships and improve communication.
Medical Support
Ongoing medication management by psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Support for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) with Antabuse, Campral, and Naltrexone, and for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) with Suboxone.
Flexible Treatment Options
Choose in-person care at a Kolmac location, fully virtual treatment, or a hybrid of both, with morning, afternoon, and evening sessions available for maximum flexibility.
Location
Your treatment location depends on your location: choose the facility that works best for you from our convenient locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
